THE TEACHER + Q&A with director Farah Nabulsi and lead actor Saleh Bakri, presented by The Critical Collective

On 25 September, a preview screening of the multi-award-winning film The Teacher was held at Genesis Cinema, followed by a panel discussion with director and filmmaker Farah Nabulsi, lead actor Saleh Bakri, anti-apartheid activist Andrew Feinstein and Khaled Dawas, Chair of The Hanoon Foundation (formerly FQMS).

The event was presented by The Critical Collective in partnership with Genesis Cinema and The Hanoon Foundation, and included a Q&A exploring the themes of the film and its wider political and humanitarian context.

The screening raised £1,253.96, which has been donated to The Hanoon Foundation’s emergency appeal to support medical education and healthcare resilience in Palestine.

We would like to thank The Critical Collective, Genesis Cinema, the panellists and all attendees for their support and engagement.
