In December, artist Beatrice Minns created handmade ceramic “Hands for Palestine” tokens and sold them at the Stable Market in Clapton to raise funds for medical education in Palestine. A Palestinian friend had recommended The Hanoon Foundation (THF) as an impactful organisation to support, inspiring the initiative.

The pottery sale raised £1,249, which has been donated to THF to support the training of medical students and young medics in Palestine. Community-led fundraising plays an important role in helping students continue their education despite the challenges they face, including financial hardship, instability and humanitarian disruption.

We are grateful for this creative act of solidarity and for the generosity of everyone who contributed.
