Time: 1:00 PM
Venue: Bursa Restaurant, Marble Arch, London
Cuisine: Turkish
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us on Sunday, 22 September 2024, at Bursa Restaurant for our lunch event. Your generosity and support were truly overwhelming, and we greatly welcome your feedback.
We enjoyed a delightful three-course meal, which included a variety of appetisers, a delicious main course, dessert, and both soft and hot drinks.
Thanks to all our supporters, donors, and volunteers who contributed to the success of our event dedicated to medical education in Palestine. We raised over £20,000 after covering all the event expenses!
During the event, we honoured the memory of every life lost in Palestine and reaffirmed our commitment to rebuilding medical schools and empowering students to pursue their dreams and serve their communities.
We were privileged to hear powerful and inspiring talks from Palestinian Ambassador Dr Husam Zomlot and Mr Khaled Dawas. Additionally, Dr Tamer El-Nakhal and Dr Othman El-Agha, both originally from Gaza, shared their experiences and highlighted the needs and aspirations of medical students. The event was further enhanced by a live guitar performance from Thomas Hodgkinson.
Our sales table featured beautiful items, including Palestinian organic dates kindly donated by Yaffa and the book “Ten Days in Gaza.“
