In October 2025, Rakan, from Saudi Arabia, took on the challenge of racing a Half Ironman to raise funds in support of Palestinian children and communities.

Rakan fundraised for The Hanoon Foundation, supporting its work to advance medical education and strengthen healthcare capacity by assisting medical students, graduates, and medical schools in Palestine. Through this challenge, he aimed to contribute to both immediate needs and long-term investment in the Palestinian healthcare sector.

A total of £4,943 was raised and donated to The Hanoon Foundation, supporting its work to strengthen medical education and contribute to a more resilient healthcare system in Palestine.
