On 19 September 2025, a fundraising music evening in support of The Hanoon Foundation was held at Brookmill SE8, raising funds for medical training and independent healthcare.
The event featured a range of live music, including harmony singing, folk, blues and calypso, alongside a raffle. A total of £1,464 was raised through the fundraising music concert, with all proceeds donated to The Hanoon Foundation to support its work in advancing medical education and supporting medical students in Palestine.
The event was supported by members of the local community, including individuals and businesses who generously contributed raffle prizes.
We thank the organisers, performers, and all those who attended and contributed to the success of the event.
The musicians who performed on the night included:
- The Ukadelix – a five-piece, all-female band performing a mix of covers and original songs with strong harmonies.
- Archie and the Shuttlers – a folk group whose music includes songs written in solidarity with Palestine.
- Alex Macdonald (@alexjaymac) – a folk musician influenced by blues, country, calypso, Türkü and other styles, and a journalist with Middle East Eye.
- Tommy Macdonald (@tommymacdonaldmusic) – a musician blending blues, jazz and folk with distinctive vocals and songwriting.
The Hanoon Foundation is grateful to everyone involved for their support and for helping to raise vital funds for Palestinian medical education.
