Thank you for attending

Dear Friends and Supporters,
On behalf of The Hanoon Foundation (THF), we would like to thank everyone who joined us at our June fundraising event co-organised with Voices of Palestine (VoP) at The Dorchester Hotel on 22nd June 2025.
Please check out the news coverage of the event from the new arab and TRT.
We were truly moved by the overwhelming support shown throughout the night and warmly welcome any feedback you wish to share. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over £250,000 net, after covering all expenses. This achievement will directly benefit Palestinian medical students and address urgent gaps in healthcare education. In light of the ongoing crisis in Palestine, we will focus on rehabilitation projects, where your support will have both immediate and lasting impact. The event began with a warm welcome from Yosra Elgonaid of VoP, setting a positive tone for the evening.

Dr Ahmed Massoud, Chairman of THF, presented the vital work of the organisation, highlighting its programmes and the urgent challenges facing Palestinian medical students.
This was followed by a heartfelt speech from H.E. Dr. Husam Zomlot, the Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, who focused on the broader challenges facing Palestine and the resilience of its people.

Many thanks to Dr Lina Hadid for her invaluable support and inspiring speech, which deeply resonated with all attendees and underscored the significance of the cause we are all committed to.

The auction with Ed Rising was a highlight of the evening. Special thanks to Zayna Al-Saleh, the curator, and all the talented artists who generously donated their artworks. Congratulations to all the winning bidders of the artwork and luxury items. Your generosity made a tremendous difference, and we deeply appreciate your continued commitment to our cause. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made donations, pledges, or volunteered—your support was invaluable and helped make the evening such a success.

The panel discussed the unprecedented attacks on the Palestinian medical sector and their far-reaching implications. We were honoured to be joined by distinguished panellists — Dr Selma Dabbagh, Dr Ahmed Mukhalalati, Prof. Merissa Khurma, Mr Daniel Levy, and Prof. Tara Kangarlou — who shared powerful insights and reflections.

The evening concluded with an unforgettable musical performance by Le Trio Joubran—three Palestinian brothers, Samir, Wissam and Adnan, from a distinguished family of master ‘Oud’ makers. Their performance deeply touched the audience, leaving a lasting impression on us all.
