On Sunday, 13 July 2025, a family-friendly bike ride and picnic fundraiser was held in Millfields Park, London, in support of The Hanoon Foundation.
The event brought together families, children and adults for a relaxed social bike ride, followed by a picnic and games. The route took place on cycle paths through parks and green spaces, making it suitable for riders of all ages and abilities, including young participants and less confident cyclists.
Participants joined the ride either at Hackney Town Hall, where a short guided route led to Millfields Park, or directly at the park itself. The picnic was bring-your-own, with additional refreshments and activities kindly provided by the hosts. The group also stopped at Wild Marsh East for picnic activities before returning to the starting points.
The fundraiser raised a total of £1,747.81, with all proceeds donated to The Hanoon Foundation to support its work in advancing medical education and training in Palestine.
The event was organised and hosted by Hackney neighbours Manal and Michael, whose efforts helped create a welcoming and inclusive community fundraiser.
The Hanoon Foundation is grateful to everyone who took part and contributed to the success of the event.
