On 3 December, our supporters organised a fundraising event, thanks in large part to the efforts of Manal Masalha, which has raised £1,628 so far, with donations still coming in, in support of the Hanoon Foundation.
The evening brought people together through music, dance, and solidarity. Guests danced to an eclectic mix of Palestinian music, reggae, ska, cumbia, R&B, and Afro beats, creating a nourishing space of culture, community, love, and care.
Titled “Dance! Heal! Rebuild!”, the event highlighted the power of music and movement while supporting medical training in Palestine. The line-up featured talented local DJs, including DJ Zeeroy (roots, reggae, ska), La Saduka (cumbia, salsa, merengue), Natash Cox (Palestinian and Middle Eastern sounds), and Kyrsty (funk, soul, hip hop, and electronic).
The evening also featured reflections from Palestinian voices, who spoke about the vital role music and dance play in preserving culture, identity, and resilience.
