Hygiene and healthy eating are among the most important factors that influence human health. Hygiene helps protect us from germs and infections, while a healthy diet provides the necessary nutrients for body growth and immune system strengthening. Since children are at the beginning of their lives and their health awareness journey, we decided to visit a kindergarten to educate them on the importance of healthy eating and personal hygiene. We aimed to engage them through interactive activities that would make these concepts fun and easy to understand.

Activity Overview
During our visit to the kindergarten, we organised an engaging and educational session where we introduced the children to healthy eating habits and the importance of hygiene. The activities we conducted included:

  • Healthy vs. Unhealthy Food Classification
We explained the concept of healthy and unhealthy foods in a simple and relatable way.
The children took part in an interactive sorting activity where they classified food items into two baskets: one for healthy food and another for unhealthy food. This allowed them to visually understand the difference between the two.
  • Hygiene Awareness
We discussed the importance of personal hygiene, including habits like washing hands, brushing teeth, and taking regular baths to protect against germs and strengthen the immune system.
An interactive activity followed, where the children identified healthy hygiene behaviours and demonstrated their understanding of these practices.

To make the session even more enjoyable, we incorporated balloons as part of the activity, encouraging the children to participate actively.
