Arts Canteen, in collaboration with Grand Junction, organised this year’s Arab Christmas celebration on Wednesday 7 January. The Hanoon Foundation was selected as the charity partner for the occasion, which marked the tenth anniversary of Arab Christmas in London.

The event brought together community and cultural traditions in a candlelit setting, featuring a programme of Arabic, Syriac, Coptic and Byzantine chants. Performances and readings were presented by Najib Coutya, Mina Salama, Hayat Selim, Selma Dabbagh, Hannah Khalil, Tarek Elazhary, Yara Sharif and Rev Dr Abouzayd, alongside additional contributions from musicians, readers and artists.

The evening was well attended and Dr Khaled Dawas, Vice Chair of The Hanoon Foundation, attended the event and spoke about the Foundation and its work. The Hanoon Foundation was pleased to be associated with this cultural event and extends its appreciation to all those involved.
